Erich Bergen is Coming Back to Broadway’s Waitress This June
It was around this time last June that Erich Bergen made his Broadway debut, and the actor will be reprising his role in the musical Waitress. The musical production will be kicking off at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on the 4th of June.
He will be playing the role of Dr. Pomatter, after the previous actor Jeremy Jordan played the role for last time on June 2. Erich Bergen is known for his role in CBS Madam Secretary, and also in the Jersey Boys movie.
The current cast of Waitress includes Ben Thompson, Shoshanna Bean, Caitlin Houlahan, Noah Galvin, Benny Elledge, and Angel Dawson.
Waitress is an adaptation from the 2007 movie of the same title which was written by Adrienne Shelly. Broadway’s Waitress is the first Broadway’s musical to have four women at the helm of creative spots. Diane Paulus is the director, six-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles in charge of the score, book by Jessie Nelson, and Lorin Latarro in charge of choreography.
